Let’s Celebrate Galentine’s Day!

posted on February 8th, 2019 by Leslie Thomas

Galentine's Day - an unofficial holiday that in our opinion, is equally as fun and lighthearted as its predecessor. Created by the fictional television character, Leslie Knope of NBC's sitcom, Parks and Recreation, Galentine's Day is all about "ladies celebrating ladies."And for our favorite food blogger, Corey, aka, Miss Foodie Problems, it's all about gathering together with her favorite girlfriends and sharing cocktails, delicious treats, and a good time. For Miss Foodie Problems' official Galentine's Day post, where she plays ode to the holiday and also to amazing local spirits sold at Bristol Farms, click here! You can also check out Miss Foodie Problems' beautiful and mouth-watering Instagram page here. Galentine's Day Cocktails Many of us at Bristol Farms can get down with Leslie Knope and Corey's notion on the day, which "technically" falls on Febrruary 13th...though we think a Saturday or Sunday are just better suited for this all-to-fun ladies celebrating ladies… Read More

Sweetheart Ribeyes for Valentine’s Day

posted on February 8th, 2019 by Leslie Thomas

We can't think of a more perfect Valentine's Day dinner. Our sweetheart cut USDA Choice Ribeyes are beautifully marbled and can be seared to perfection in a cast iron skillet on the stove and/or in the oven with just a pat of butter and some aromatic herbs, like thyme and rosemary. Paired with twice baked potatoes and sauteed spinach or asparagus and you've got a steakhouse inspired dinner without the chaotic crowds. A quiet dinner at home with just an hour of prep and cook time? We like the sounds of it. Throw in a bottle of your favorite red wine for good measure (and romance, of course), too. If you're needing a fool-proof seared ribeye recipe...look no further. We're pretty big fans of NY Times Boneless Ribeye recipe right here: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1019175-rib-eye-steak-and-potatoes-for-two Read More

Celebrate the Super Blood Wolf Moon with BF…

posted on January 17th, 2019 by Leslie Thomas

There is absolutely no reason for increased concern about the coming 'super blood wolf moon' on the evening of January 20 and early morning of January 21. In layman’s terms, we're going to have a total lunar eclipse. The sun, earth and moon will be in a straight line for a short time, while the moon is also near perigee, the point in the orbit of the moon at which it is nearest to the earth. Very basic science but also very exciting to behold, since it is a rare occurrence. As much as you’d like to reach out and touch this celestial experience, the best we can do is offer its earthen cousins The Wolftrap Red, a blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre and Viognier; And Wolftrap White, encompassing Viognier, Chenin Blanc and Grenache Blanc. Who says you can’t see the moon and drink it too… Keep Calm and Celebrate with The Wolftrap for only $9.99 - 750 ml Read More
