Our bold and hearty sausages are the ultimate addition to your summer BBQ spread! From spicy and sweet Italian links to zesty fiesta chicken sausages, our butchers prepare everything in-house daily. We even have traditional Polish kielbasa! Best of all, these savory sausages can be used to take a basic hot dog to the next level. Ready to get out the grill? We’ve got you covered with all of our favorite tips and tricks on building the perfect sausage platter!

How to Cook

Grilling your sausages gives them a slight char that adds a satisfying and smoky flavor. If you like a little crunch on the outside with a soft interior, grilling is the way to go. While the process is pretty standard across all varieties, the thickness of each sausage needs to be taken into account. Also, grilling your sausages on too high of heat will dry them out, so setting your grill to a medium heat around 400°F is imperative. Once the grill is done preheating, place your sausages directly onto the grill grates. For thinner sausages, grill each side for 3 to 4 minutes. For thicker ones, cook each side for 5 to 6 minutes.

Building Your Platter

Think of your sausage platter like a BBQ version of a charcuterie board! The sausages should be the star of the show, so it’s best to arrange them near the center of your serving platter. For a little spice, grill up some jalapeño’s or thinly-sliced bell peppers and surround the sausages with them. Grilled or carmelized onions are another great topping that can be displayed with the peppers. For sauces, fill a few ramekins with ketchup, mustard, and relish and put them on the edge of your platter with small serving spoons. If you don’t have enough room for the buns on your board, place them on a separate plate and serve them alongside the sausage platter.

Perfect Pairings

No summer BBQ is complete without a bucket of ice cold beer. Enjoy your sausage platter with a light cerveza served alongside some sliced limes. Homemade margaritas are also always a hit. If you’re doing a booze-free BBQ, consider serving an adaptogen-infused beverage like Kin Euphorics or Ghia. When it comes to sides, grilled corn on the cob is a summer favorite that never gets old! Balance the meat out with a light and refreshing cucumber and tomato salad and dig in.
